From the Sketchbook: a strip that never wuz

A few months ago, while tooling around for an idea for a strip, I tossed this one off, mostly out of boredom. I rejected it immediately; but when I came across it the other day, I was amused by the way boredom transformed my caricatures. So I post it here for shits and giggles.

The occasion for the cartoon was Bush's off-the-cuff disavowal of the implied link between Saddam Hussein and the terrorist attacts on September 11th. Perhaps dated, yet somewhat timely given the recent hearings and that press conference (which demonstrated yet again why Bush holds so few of them; if he keeps his mouth shut, he might stand a chance of re-election.)
