Two Small Observations from My Life

1) Today was the second time in a month that someone has come up to me after I had just gotten out of my car and asked me where Trader Joe's is. This is made a bit more odd by the fact that I was in completely different places (downtown Portland by the central library and south of Portland near Lake Grove) and the Trader Joe's stores they were referring to were different branches of the chain. In the first case I didn't know the answer, but the second time I did. Maybe the universe was giving me a second chance to pass this particular quiz? Or is this a code phrase used by the United Nations strikeforce that's secretly infiltrating and taking over our country?

2) On my way home from that encounter, I was sitting at an intersection and five cars passed in front of me. Three of the five drivers were talking into hand-held cell phones as they drove. Maybe they were on a three-way conference call with each other. "When we get to 7-11, what color Slurpee should I get? Jerry hates it when I get blue because it makes my tongue all gross."
