Gay Marriage: Defenders of What, Exactly?

Kip is not impressed with various attempts by The Backlash to defend (cough) the sanctity of his marriage (or mine, for that matter):

What use is marriage, if I have to treat so many people like so much shit to keep it safe? People I know and love? Why would I want any part of it? Why would you?
No, he's not gonna get dee-vorced to make a political point. But his questions are more than mere rhetoric. This alone does more to trivialize marriage and insult heterosexuality than anything even John Waters could dream of (not that he would; he's a nice man):
The county that was the site of the Scopes "Monkey Trial" over the teaching of evolution is asking lawmakers to amend state law so the county can charge homosexuals with crimes against nature.

The Rhea County commissioners approved the request 8-0 Tuesday.

Afterwards, I recommend the commissioners drive up to the Central Park Zoo and protest the criminal behavior of certain deviant penguins. That should lend their cause more weight.

Penguin lust is nothing to joke about, young man.
