
Whatever the official manipulations by either the Aznar or Bush governments, the public response moves, overwhelms, touches, defies the prescriptions of public policy. The BBC gallery features reactions and opinions from their photo subjects. Anger at the bombing, fear of more attacks, frustration with the government, pleas for recognition of our common humanity—all and more comprise the range of emotions expressed here, though I doubt the possibilities are exhausted.
