Owen Meets Sydney

Yesterday, Kim & Matt (along with mad blogger Bean) brought over their beautiful daughter Sydney, who is a month older than Owen. Naturally there was much picture taking. Here is my account, with a few narrative embellishements. Owen had never met a girl his own age before, so I think he was feeling a little awkward. That, and he's, y'know, 5 weeks old.

Also: If all that doesn't satisfy your Owen hunger, here is a sequence taken a couple weeks ago in which Owen gets Oedipal on my ass.

I love this picture series of Owen you've been doing. Not only is your son cute, and not only is your enthusiasm for him cute, but you've managed to overcome the problem that afflicts most new parents. While you're obsessed with showing pictures of your son to everyone (as you should be; it's your right as a parent) you do a good job of not over-doing it and putting narratives to things that are just hilarious.

Here's looking forward to the next Owen post... Well, and the next cartoon.

Aww Kev, it was a wonderful view and read. Was also great getting to meet Owen, Sydney was tuckered out from all the excitement yesterday. I've posted some picts as well on the ezboard (check email for details). Great stuff! What photogenic and bright babies they be!

Hey, thanks! One of my goals is to not be "one of those parents" who write cutesy things like "Daddy's little tax deduction" for captions or whatever. Or angel prayers. Euughhghgh.

Besides, "Daddy's little tax deduction" is what you used to call me...

Yeah, if you posted a picture of Owen with some cutsie prayer under it ("Dear God, Please use your angels to watch over my angel.") I think I'd have to stop coming to your site.

You know, its ability to horrifically embarrass one's kids when they hit that snotty, middle-school age with narrated slide shows of baby pictures is one power of the Infobahn I never paused to consider, before...

My ability to embarrass anyone should never be underestimated. Maybe you should say a little prayer for Owen.... :)

The potential for ebarassing a middle-school aged Owen could be quite beneficial. For instance, "Yes Owen, you can stay out past midnight, but if you do, I'm-a-reposting your baby photos." Solid.

I've just happened upon this site and I must say Owen is such a little angel, a blessing from the heavens, a beautiful innocent little vessel of light and purity. He fills me with such wonder that I'm on the other side of this screen melting into a gooey puddle of pink and baby blue god light.
I heart Jesus. And Owen too.
